Appeal for help after thieves take man’s high-performance vehicles
POLICE are still hunting thieves who stole highperformance cars from a North-east man worth a total of more than £100,000. The criminals struck at the home of Stephen Morgan in Main Street, Longside, and took keys to three rare
Ford Sierra RS Cosworth cars. One was recovered and officers believe the other two are so rare someone may have spotted them since the theft, which happened on July 15. Detective Constable Richard Cooper said: “Someone, somewhere out there knows who took the vehicles and where they are now. “I would urge them to look into their conscience and come forward. It might be too late to trace the vehicles, however, whoever has been responsible for this should be held accountable.” The vehicles are an extensively modified moonstone blue Cosworth with gold alloys, registration D341 JHW, and a rare black RS500 model, registration E203 APU.
“Please contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous,” added Dc Cooper, who described the case as “challenging”.
