Man in dock over alleged charity tin thefts
A MAN has appeared in court in connection with the alleged theft of 15 charity tins across the North-east.
It comes after police were alerted to incidents in Peterhead, Turriff and Aberdeen city centre during November, where charity tins, believed to contain an estimated three-figure sum, were reported stolen. Warren Mclean, 41, of Macduff, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged in connection with the matter.
He is facing 15 counts of theft, a charge of assault and one of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
