It’s up to parents to tell kids not to buy from vans
IN ALL the fuss over the cooncil’s daft idea of making food vans move every night a wee change has occurred almost unnoticed. The ban on them operating near schools has now been dropped. So kids are free to, once again, choose chips and burgers over the healthy options on the school menu. Now, no doubt parents will be aghast. How dare their darlings get access to greasy fried food at school. Here’s a thought, if you don’t want them eating it, tell them not to. That’s your job after all, not the teacher’s and not the burger van man’s.
