Tem­po­rary traf­fic sig­nals for AWPR work

TEM­PO­RARY traf­fic sig­nals are set to be in place on a busy city road while work on the city by­pass is car­ried out. Aberdeen City Coun­cil has an­nounced the mea­sure, which will be in place for around a day-and-a-half on the out­skirts of Peter­cul­ter. The tem­po­rary traf­fic sig­nals will be in op­er­a­tion on the A93 North Dee­side Road later this week. These mea­sures will be in place from 9.30am un­til 3.30pm on Thurs­day and the same times the fol­low­ing day.

The mea­sure is nec­es­sary while work is car­ried out on the Aberdeen West­ern Pe­riph­eral Route (AWPR).

The tem­po­rary traf­fic sig­nals are be­ing in­stalled at the junc­tion with the B979 Mill­tim­ber Brae.

In the past tem­po­rary traf­fic lights at the spot have seen long de­lays for driv­ers.
