Charge after road crash
A MAN has been charged in connection with a collision between a flatbed truck and a police motorbike. The crash took place at the Haudagain roundabout just before 11.40am last Wednesday. The motorcyclist, a man in his early 50s, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with nonserious injuries. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that the 47-year-old lorry driver has been charged in relation to alleged careless driving. “He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and is expected to appear at court at a later date.” The collision caused tailbacks of about two miles in the direction of Bucksburn, along the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road.
