Man gave cannabis to partner
A MAN has admitted supplying his partner with drugs to ease her health problems.
James Bain, 43, admitted roasting cannabis stalks and stems before grinding them up and putting them into food he made for him and his girlfriend.
Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard Bain, whose address was given in court papers as 1 Todlaw Walk, Dyce, got the drugs from a friend who grows his own cannabis.
The court heard the weight of cannabis found in Bain’s house would have been valued at £12,525 but because it was stalks and stems it was described as valueless to dealers.
Defence lawyer Graham Morrison said the drugs were used to alleviate Bain’s partner’s health issues.
He said she suffered from tremors and spasms and that cannabis alleviated the symptoms. Sentence on Bain was deferred for 12 months for good behaviour.
