AN ABERDEEN Journals employee has been presented with a gold watch in recognition of his long service.

Deputy transport manager Kenny Watt joined the company 30 years ago.

The 57-year-old, of Stewart Terrace, Aberdeen, worked as a driver for more than 15 years before he was appointed a supervisor in the transport department.

Mr Watt said: “It seems just like yesterday I started, the time’s flown by.

“Everything has changed over the years.

“It’s a very friendly staff and everyone gets on, so I’ve enjoyed it. Here’s to the next 30 years.”

Aberdeen Journals managing director Alan Scott congratulated Mr Watt.

Mr Scott said: “It’s great to give any employee a gold watch for 30 years of service and Kenny has been a first-class employee during that time.”
