Footballers’ hair is relegated to the past
THE Football Years, the TV show that last week highlighted the fabulous Dons and Dundee United teams of 1982/83, prompted an interesting response from a non-football fan friend. It related not to my cameo as an old codger who reported on Alex Ferguson, pictured, and Jim McLean’s wonderful sides, but to the fact that she hadn’t spotted any bald players in any of the action. “Why is it”, she asked, “that there are so many young, baldy football players around today?” Does anyone have a
theory on that?
