Tax plan was made in cloud cuckoo land

Evening Express (Extra Edition) - - FRONT PAGE -

IT WOULD appear the current Conservative/Lib Dem coalition at Westminster lives in cuckoo land.

It refuses to consult with companies and trade organisations when making substantial and serious changes to taxation levels.

This is a worrying situation and if it intends to carry on governing the country in this manner things will go from bad to worse.

Remote decis i o n s ma d e behind closed doors do not work in a modern, business e n v i r o nment.

The North-east of Scotland will feel the effects very quickly with the brutal plundering of the international oil companies’ revenues.

The predictable reaction may lead to cancelled contracts and delayed developments translating into lost jobs and a further dip in the local economy.
