Reactor fallout raises concerns
IT IS astonishing – if a little worrying – to think that radioactive fallout from the damaged Japanese reactor has now reached Scotland.
While the experts say the levels are very low, it is still a concern that it is in our atmosphere at all.
It shows how the whole planet is interconnected.
Surely this is an argument against expanding the use of nuclear power and a rejection of the idea that has been gaining currency that nuclear is almost a “green” fuel.
