A night to really remember
IT’S a novel concept. After all, it’s not often you’d want to spend a relaxing night away in a B&B, and pray all night that you’ll find reason after reason for complaint. But for the couples taking part in this series, even the smallest of cracks in the wallpaper doesn’t go unnoticed. Yet, more houseproud proprietors vie to be crowned the best bed and breakfast by their peers. In this first episode, the owners of Stoberry House – a £110-anight place in Somerset – take on £85-a-night Frome Dale in Dorset and the £95-a-night Blue Pigeons at Worth in Kent. First up is Stoberry House, and owner Frances is left mortified when Frome Dale’s Debbie claims to have found a pubic hair in the shower (we didn’t say this was for the fainthearted). The two women don’t get off to the greatest of starts and next we’re off to Debbie’s gaff.
