‘We will help volunteers’

Evening Express (Extra Edition) - - FAMILY MEMORIES -

CONSERVATIVES have pledged to help support the voluntary sector. The Tories have promised to do more for volunteers if they are elected. Leader Annabel Goldie said: “Voluntary sector organisations are vital cogs in our communities, offering a wealth of expertise and experience on some of the most pressing social issues. “I want to see them more involved in the fabric of social life. “I know that the third sector is more than capable of stepping in to supply public services but big government, vested interests and fiefdoms have often got in the way. This has to change and I am determined to deliver that change.”
