Helicopter sparks alert at airport
Firm nets award for top salmon
A FULL emergency was declared at Aberdeen Airport after a helicopter reported problems.
Emergency services were scrambled to the Dyce terminal at noon yesterday.
But the helicopter landed safely and the response was stood down. An airport spokeswoman said: “It taxied off the stand safely. It was just a precaution.” A NORTH-EAST smoked salmon producer has netted a glittering accolade.
John Ross Jr (Aberdeen) Ltd has been awarded gold star rating at the Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, for the third year in a row.
The smokehouse, in Sinclair Road, took the award for its Balmoral Fillet.
