Airport hotel bid backed
A HOTEL will be built near Aberdeen Airport after councillors backed development plans. Granite steading buildings at Home Farm, Parkhill, will be converted as part of the scheme proposed by landowner John McIntosh. The property has lain empty for years and the outbuildings were damaged by fire in 2006. The 48-bedroom hotel is expected to target short-stay offshore workers in the oil and gas industry. The buildings will be retained and transformed into guest rooms, a self-catering kitchen, gym, and office and laundry area. The plans include parking for up to 43 cars and a bus drop-off point.
