Car is vital for for city travel
THE question was posed on the letters page: “Are you using the car less due to fuel costs?” (EE, August 18).
No, I’m not using my car less. I need my car to get around the town, to work, the shops, to pick up my grandchildren. I wish I could use it less, it certainly would be cheaper.
But I believe it’s still cheaper and more convenient than using a bus.
Maybe I would use my car less if I had a more viable transport alternative.
