The duo be­hind one of the North-east’s fun­ni­est dou­ble acts are re­turn­ing for an­other feast of com­edy from their pop­u­lar ra­dio show ‘The Satur­day Lie In’. Lo­cal ra­dio pre­sen­ter and co­me­dian John McRu­vie joins “Hair­dresser to the Stars” Pa­trice for a night of hi­lar­ity. The duo have been close friends for more than 30 years. They first worked to­gether as DJs at Cham­pers night­club in Marycul­ter back in 1980. John re­calls the first time they spoke. He, said: “We passed each other in the car park at Cham­pers and he ac­cused me of tak­ing some of his records. I told him ‘You had noth­ing worth steal­ing!’” The Satur­day Lie In Ra­dio Show was broad­cast from 1998 un­til 2003. Ex­pect to see all the char­ac­ters from the show in­clud­ing the Ladies from Con­sti­tu­tion Street, Wal­ter Fae War­tle, and of course The Loon.
