Trio of Fife teams in Kinnoull tourney

KINNOULL are hosting a four-team tournament tomorrow and Sunday.

Apart from the hosts, the rest of the competing teams all hail from Fife.

Saturday’s first semi-final has Kinnoull meeting Kirkcaldy YM at noon with the second semi, Glenrothes v Oakley at 3pm.

Sunday’s games between Saturday’s beaten semi-finalists and finalists kick off at noon and 3pm.

Jeanfield Swifts are at home to Ayrshire side Largs Thistle tomorrow. Largs play in the West Region. Swifts had a friendly with Tayport in midweek which finished 1-1.

Manager Ross Gunnion will make a selection for tomorrow’s game.

Blairgowri­e have had a busy week. They have played two midweek friendlies, both at Davie Park, which is again the venue for tomorrow’s game when West Region side Larkhall are their visitors. Blair boss Billy Mackay will probably include a couple of trialists in his squad.

Scone Thistle make the lengthy journey to meet North Region side Culter. Thistle are very keen to keep their succesful run going. They have played and won their four friendlies, the latest being on Tuesday night against Berwick Rangers U/20s which Thistle won 2-1. They expect to travel with a full squad.

Coupar Angus and Luncarty are also heading into the North Region.

The former take on Colony Park. Manager Logan McConnachi­e is likely to include trialists in his squad.

Luncarty who lost 3-0 at home to Lochee United last night, are away to Stonehaven. It will be a late selection from the Bleachers.

Montrose Roselea are at home to Dyce. Roselea will be without three of their squad. Stewart Richardson and Scott Wilson are injured while RyanTaylor is unavailabl­e. Manager Chris Simpson includes a couple of trialists in his squad of 19.

Arbroath Vics are hosts to North Region side Cruden Bay. They have made five new signings, Jonathan Bastow, Ross Paterson, Craig Keir and Charlie Wilson, all from Arbroath High School FPs, along with Kellon Lyons from Arbroath Harp.

Forfar West End play their annual friendly against Cambuslang Rangers at Cambuslang tomorrow. It’s a late selection from manager Daryl McKenzie.

Brechin Vics are hosts to Brechin City’s U/19 team tomorrow. They are likely to be on the same lines as midweek when they won 3-1 against St Laurence Amateurs. Making his debut for the Vics was their new signing Colin Lawson, from Arbroath Vics. He played well.

Forfar Albion are at home to St. Laurence Amateurs tomorrow. Manager Dave Thomson will probably include one or two trialists. late
