Everyone to against Celts
“Dembele is scoring goals but they can replace him with Griffiths, who can finish, too.” “They’re scoring goals for fun.” Although the Dee may try to take the game to Celtic, McGowan is aware they will be under pressure for parts of the game.
But it’s during those times the team has to stay strong.
“We know we will be under the cosh for large spells in the game but we need to stand up and be counted, said McGowan.
“The longer the game stays at 0-0, the more confident our players will get.
“I know it is a different team and manager from last season but we drew two games against them last term and could have won both.”
One thing is sure, if Dundee are to get anything from the game they will have to put in a better performance than last Saturday at Inverness.
McGowan was very disappointed for everyone concerned at the club with that show in the Highlands.
“We didn’t do ourselves justice,” he said. “It’s been frustrating as we haven’t played to a level the manager expects. “We’ve let him and the fans down. “The team won’t be judged on that game but we need to put in a performance tomorrow.
“There is a good squad here and it’s time we all clicked together.”
