FORAN — NO EXCUSES AGAINST KILMARNOCK

-

RICHIE Foran has told his Inverness players they will have no excuse if they do not take all three points when they host Kilmarnock tomorrow.

The Caley Thistle boss believes his side should be beating the likes of Lee Clark’s men if they have any ambitions of challenging for a top-six slot this season.

He said: “No disrespect to Kilmarnock but these are the kind of games we have to win at home.

“I thought we played very well i n stages against Rangers.

“We were a real goal threat, created numerous chances against a top team.

“I was very pleased with the performance but we need t hree points now against Kilmarnock.

“It’s still early days in terms of l ooking at the league table.

“I concentrate on around Christmas time.

“It’s all about getting the win, no matter when you do it.

“Kilmarnock had a great win against St Johnstone last weekend. They cleared their lines very well and fought for one another, so we will be in for a real battle but it’s one I’ m ver y confident about.

“Kilmarnock are a strong team. If we have an off day or are not at it or our attitudes are not right then Kilmarnock will beat us. It’s as simple as that.

“It’s very tight i n the league and anyone can beat anyone. We don’t take it for granted, we don’t just have to turn up.We have to go out there and earn the win.” it
