A CHURCH in Dundee has installed a new mural.

The painting, outside Dundee Methodist Church, shows two caricatures embracing and the words “All For All”.

Painted by Perth-based artist Katie Guthrie at the annual Solas Festival, the mural is the first of what is hoped to be a display for local artists, highlighting different aspects of the mission of the church.

Commenting on the painting, the superintendent minister, the Rev. Nick Baker, said: “This beautiful, vivid and fun painting makes us smile and we hope it will bring a smile to the people of Dundee.

“As a local church, we want to support local artists and hope to use our window space to showcase the work of local people, while also drawing attention to the needs of the city and our duty of care to one another.”

The church has also recently launched a new clothes bank, working alongside other groups in Dundee, with the support of the city council.

This clothes bank offers clothes to those who need them the most.
