The 19-year-old victim was walking along South Street, Perth, at around 2.45am on Friday February 10 when he was assaulted by a man.

The perpetrator was part of a group of five or six men.

Officers would like to speak to a man in connection with the matter.

He is described as being 20 to 30 years old, of stocky build, and was wearing a grey top.

Following the incident, the victim received medical treatment in hospital for a head injury.

A police spokeswoman said officers were appealing for information about the incident.

She said: “Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Tayside Division on 101 quoting reference number CR/3802/17, or speak to any police officer.

“Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
