Awards for bus operator
BUS operator Xplore Dundee has picked up a series of awards for safety, quality and community involvement at the National Express UK Bus Values Awards.
The depot’s engineering team beat National Express’s 10 other UK garages to win the coveted Golden Spanner award for its high standard of vehicle maintenance.
Dundee was also runner-up for Community Partnership of the Year, for donating the second highest amount to charity in 2016, raising £1,927.15 for Cash for Kids and earning the charity partnership an extra £500 to help children and young folk in Tayside.
Health and safety coordinator Jo Burnett picked up the Individual Award for her contribution to Safety in the Bus Division, for her unwavering commitment to safety and wellbeing at the site during her 24 years with the company.
