Awards for bus oper­a­tor

BUS oper­a­tor Xplore Dundee has picked up a series of awards for safety, qual­ity and com­mu­nity in­volve­ment at the Na­tional Ex­press UK Bus Val­ues Awards.

The de­pot’s engi­neer­ing team beat Na­tional Ex­press’s 10 other UK garages to win the cov­eted Golden Span­ner award for its high stan­dard of ve­hi­cle main­te­nance.

Dundee was also run­ner-up for Com­mu­nity Part­ner­ship of the Year, for do­nat­ing the sec­ond high­est amount to char­ity in 2016, rais­ing £1,927.15 for Cash for Kids and earn­ing the char­ity part­ner­ship an ex­tra £500 to help chil­dren and young folk in Tay­side.

Health and safety co­or­di­na­tor Jo Burnett picked up the In­di­vid­ual Award for her con­tri­bu­tion to Safety in the Bus Divi­sion, for her un­wa­ver­ing com­mit­ment to safety and well­be­ing at the site dur­ing her 24 years with the com­pany.
