Overnight resurfacin­g restrictio­ns

THE A92 five roads roundabout in Fife is set for resurfacin­g works worth £84,000.

The works started last night and will take place over five nights. The improvemen­ts will address any defects i n the carriagewa­y and ensure the road remains in a safe working condition for years to come.

The restrictio­ns will be in place between 7.30pm and 6.30am with the works expected to be completed by 6.30am on Friday. All restrictio­ns will be lifted throughout the day.

For safety of the workforce and motorists, the works will require a partial closure of the roundabout with access from the A92 approaches maintained via temporary traffic lights.

Traffic heading to five roads roundabout from the St Michaels area will be diverted via A914 to A92 Forgan roundabout.

Traffic using the local C12 road to five roads roundabout from Wormit will be diverted via B946, B985 to A92 Forgan roundabout.

Consultati­on has taken place with the local authority, businesses, local residents and bus operators in advance of the resurfacin­g to make them aware of the traffic management arrangemen­ts and to minimise any inconvenie­nce.
