Big Cake Day back for Archie

-

THE Big Cake Day i s back for a second year to continue to help raise vital funds for Archie’sTayside Children’s Appeal.

The official charity of Ta y s i d e C h i l d r e n ’s Hospital — which organised the Oor Wullie Bucket Trail last year — is asking people to take part in a cake day.

The event will take place next Friday, with participants encouraged to take selfies.

All of the funds raised through the proceedings will be put towards boosting efforts to build the new surgical suite at Ninewells.

Emma White, Archie’s head of fundraising for Tayside, said: “We are looking forward to this year’s campaign.

“It is an ideal event for colleagues, families and friends to bake or buy cake and raise funds to support local sick children.”

Last year’s Oor Wullie B u c k e t Tr a i l raised £883,000 when the sculptures were auctioned off in aid of the Archie Foundation.
