City man, 64, jailed over sexual offences

-

A DUNDEE man has been jailed for a year after being convicted of sexual offences against three young girls — with two of the offences dating back almost 40 years.

Iain Lowe, 64, of Langshaw Road, denied five sexual charges on indictment at Dundee Sheriff Court.

However, he was convicted of three charges of using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards young girls in Dundee over a period between 1978 and 1994.

Two further charges against Lowe were found not proven by a jury.

Sheriff Simon Collins sentenced Lowe to a total of a year in jail — four months for each charge to be served consecutively.

Lowe was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
