Manran to play at Reid Hall

TWO concerts will bring the sound of new traditiona­l Scottish music to Angus.

Non-profit EPL Events was set up in 2015 to bring musicians and acts to the Forfar area, i ncluding Skerryvore, Donnie Munro, Skipinnish, and the Funbox c h i l d r e n ’s entertaine­rs.

The volunteer-run organisati­on has raised more t han £4,000 f or Scottish charities.

Its next act to play in the Reid Hall is Manran, an award-winning traditiona­l band, on July 1.

They will be supported by Iona Fyfe and Goss.

BRECHIN i n Bloom has hailed t hose who have supported the group following a series of success stories i n the past year.

Secretary Paul Roberts said: “The future promises to be busy as Brechin in Bloom has agreed an action plan for the year ahead.

“It is hoped the plants, and the group, will continue to blossom by enlisting the support of m o r e vo l u n t e e rs a n d donations.”
