MARY’S Meals volunteers in Blairgowrie and the surrounding area will hold their annual coffee morning in the town hall tomorrow from 10am-noon.

Local co-ordinator Margaret Young said: “The charity now feeds 1,230,171 children every school day.

“New kitchens have recently been opened across South Sudan and Kenya to alleviate the starvation caused by famine, resulting in many children dying of hunger.

“The Blairgowrie Support Group specifically help a school in northern Malawi where drought has caused great hardship also.

“Lucy Kirkland, of Mary’s Meals in Glasgow, will give us the latest account of work being done around the world.”
