Neil has no Cardiff fears

-

CHAMPIONSHIP leaders Cardiff may have only dropped two points i n their opening six games but Preston manager Alex Neil does not believe they are the d i v i s i o n ’s stand-out side ahead of their meeting at Deepdale tonight.

Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds are the surprise early pace-setters in the second tier, having beaten Burton, Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Wolves and QPR before l osing their 100 per cent record in Saturday’s draw at Fulham.

H ow ev e r, N e i l s e e s nothing to fear from his team’s next visitors as North End bid to maintain their unbeaten home record.

“We’ve looked at Cardiff, we know what t hey’re going to offer, we’ll try and counteract that and try and force our style of play on them and try to win the game,” Neil said.

“They’re a decent side, they have started t he season well but I don’t think they’re any great shakes in terms of they’re not miles miles better than anybody else in the league.”
