Funding awarded

THE village of Westmuir has received Paths for All funding to enhance its community woodland with a project starting t his weekend.

Since 2004, the path network has been extensively used by locals and visitors and a football pitch has also been created for local youngsters.

The grant will be used to resurface t he only remaining grassy stretch with weatherproof blaes.

Ian Findlay, of Paths for All, said: “Getting i nvo l v e d in a path development project like this is a great opportunity to feel part of the community and really gives a sense of pride and achievement.”
