Investment workshop to help charities

-

DUNDEE will host a special investment workshop this week.

Social Investment Scotland is hoping to help the city’s social enterprises and charities through their investment readiness workshop.

The event takes place at Lindsays, Seabraes House, Grassmarket, on Thursday before visiting three other Scottish locations.

It offers a look at how social investment can enable organisations to achieve growth, sustainability and impact.

The events are open to charities, social enterprises, community enterprises and professional services such as solicitors who want to learn more about social investment.

Community Shares Scotland will also be delivering a session on how community shares could be the best way to raise funds for a community venture.

Alastair Davis, CEO of Social Investment Scotland, said: “There are a large proportion of charities, social enterprises and community enterprises that are still unaware of the benefits of taking on investment to help them achieve their goals.

“These workshops have been designed to simplify the world of investment, helping attendees to learn about what is available out there and to decide which route is right for their organisation.”
