Festival has taste of success

T H E Ta s t e o f A n g u s Festival 2018 gets cooking next week.

The festival runs from March 19-25 and features a range of ways to enjoy fresh produce, dishes prepared by top chefs and award-winning drinks.

From a ghost walk featuring a frightenin­gly good meal to a pie, gin and beer tasting evening, organisers claim there is something for everyone, including several events aimed at young food fans.

Tickets are already being snapped up f or some events, with a children’s pie-making masterclas­s run by Hayley Wilkes sold out.

On the afternoons of March 22, 24 and 25, Louise Nicoll and her family are throwing open the gates of their farm near Forfar for Down On The Farm tours, designed to educate younger visitors about where food comes from.

The tours cost £7.50 per adult with one free child place for every paying adult.
