Lundvald signs on again

DUNDEE Stars are delighted to announce the re-signing of Lukas Lundvald for season 2018-19.

Lukas joined the club in early January totalling 29 points in 27 games.

In his short time at Stars, Lukas consolidat­ed himself as a cult figure both on and off the ice.

On his return, Stars’ general manager Omar Pacha said: “Lukas is a great, hard working kid. He has explosive speed and uses it well. His skill level is high and he loves to play on the edge”.

Omar continued: “I expect Lukas to keep i mproving every day to become a very important part of this team”.

Lukas becomes the second re-signing ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, joining forward Brian Hart.

FIFE Flyers travel to Nottingham this weekend for the Elite League Ice Hockey Play-Off Finals.

Following their tremendous comeback win over Manchester Storm i n the quarter-finals, Fife now take on league champions, Cardiff Devils tomorrow (1pm) as they aim to secure a place in Sunday’s final.

The other semi-final will see Sheffield Steelers pitted against Nottingham Panthers (5pm).

The final will take place on Sunday (4pm).

DUNDEE Comets are out to retain last season’s crown as Scottish National League Play-Off champs when they face Aberdeen Lynx in Kirkcaldy tomorrow (4.45).

Coach Rab Brown said: “We certainly won’t take Aberdeen lightly.

“I can assure our fans we’ll be going as hard as we can to keep our title and the first step is to eliminate Lynx.”

In the other semi, Kirkcaldy face Paisley (6pm). The final is on Sunday (6pm).
