Baby found with se­ri­ous in­juries

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing in­ci­dent

“A po­lice car sat out­side the house all day yes­ter­day.

“There are still po­lice in the street to­day.’’

Near neigh­bour Shirley Spink, 59, said she was shocked to hear a baby was in hos­pi­tal.

Shirley said:”I knew a baby lived in the house.

“I saw a woman out push­ing the pram on Fri­day.

‘‘That was the first time I had seen the woman.

“Then on Satur­day I saw po­lice and an am­bu­lance out­side the house. ‘‘They were there all day. “I couldn’t un­der­stand what was hap­pen­ing.

“I’m shocked and upset to hear that a baby has been hurt

“I hope and pray that she is go­ing to be all right. You don’t ex­pect things like that to hap­pen in a town like Ar­broath and next door to you.”

To­day cur­tains re­mained closed at the ter­raced house.

Po­lice con­tinue to main­tain a pres­ence out­side.

There con­tin­ued to be a large po­lice pres­ence in the street to­day.
