Young get in­sights into work

YOUNG job seek­ers across the city are in­vited to at­tend an event t o ex­plore f uture ca­reer op­tions.

Par­ents and young peo­ple will have an op­por­tu­nity to meet em­ploy­ers, re­cruit­ment agen­cies and ed­u­ca­tion providers at an event hosted by Skills Development Scot­land (SDS).

It will take place to­mor­row from 2.30-4.30pm in the Dundee Ca­reers Cen­tre, i n t h e R oya l Ex­change Build­ing, Panu­mure Street.

Speak­ing t oday SDS team leader Rose-Marie Ste­wart said it was a “fan­tas­tic” chance to ex­plore ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties.

She said: “SDS Dundee en­joys cre­at­ing events like this for the local com­mu­nity.

“It’s a fan­tas­tic way for young peo­ple to gain valu­able in­sight into the labour mar­ket and the op­por­tu­ni­ties that are avail­able to them.

“We know that many young peo­ple will be fin­ish­ing school and col­lege soon, so it is a great time to find out what i s out there for them.”
