Motherwell excel at ‘dirty side’
M OT H E RW E L L b o s s Stephen Robinson says his team excelled at the “dirty side” of football in their 2-1 victor y over Dundee on Saturday.
The Steelmen came from behind after Genseric Kusunga opened the scoring for the Dark Blues on 23 minutes from a corner.
Five minutes l a t e r, Robinson’s men were level after Charles Dunne’s header was knocked in by Ryan Bowman from a corner of their own.
Then in the second half, another set-piece gave ’Well victory as Cedric Kipre leapt to head them back in front.
Robinson was delighted to see his side come out on top to secure their place in the Premiership next season.
He said: “That’s what you have to do if you want to win football matches, you have to do the dirty side.
“We told them set-plays would be the big decider in the game and all three goals came from set-plays.
“Luckily enough we got the winning one.”
