Jock off on latest adventure
SCONE man Jock McInnes is gearing up for his latest adventure.
The intrepid 62-year-old, who works in Dundee for Send Scotland, a charity which helps people who are deaf and blind, has raised more than £1 million for charity by trekking across the Sahara twice as well as hiking across the Gobi desert and scaling Mount Etna, Mount Elbrus (Europe’s highest peak), Kinabalu (Asia’s highest) and Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest).
Now he is to climb in Romania’s Fagaras mountains for a special reason. He is raising money to help with medical costs for his nephew Sean’s 20 month old son Lloyd, who has STXBP1 encephalopathy. He is the only Scot with it and has had 600 seizures.
