Hotel’s a winner
A HOTEL has picked up its fifth award since October. Balbirnie House’s head chef Robbie Penman was named Scottish Executive Chef Of The Year at the Scottish Food Awards.
The Markinch venue was named Scotland’s 2018 Wedding Hotel Of The Year by the Scottish Hotel Awards last month for a record-breaking 12th consecutive year.
It also won a hat-trick of accolades at the Haute Grandeur Awards in October: best function venue, best romantic hotel and best destination wedding hotel in Europe.
Managing director Nicholas Russell said he was proud of Robbie’s achievement.
