A week’s visit
THE Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt. Rev. Dr Derek Browning, will be arriving in St Andrews for a week-long visit on September 9.
It’s nine years since a national moderator visited the St Andrews Presbytery, so a packed programme is being drawn up to allow Dr Browning to experience a taste of the wide variety of life and work in the area.
He will be accompanied by his chaplain, the Rev John McMahon, and will carry out a number of engagements including a Fife Council reception at St Andrews Town Hall and a St Andrews University reception at St Mary’s.
He will also visit Leuchars Primary, the Army base and the RNLI station in Anstruther.
