Intruder disturbed in house
POLICE have appealed for information after a house in West Ferry was broken into.
A crook targeted the property in Strachan Avenue at about 7pm on Sunday.
However, the person was disturbed and made off empty-handed.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “The house was broken into by way of a glass panel in a back door being broken.
“Fortunately the person responsible was disturbed and did not manage to take anything once they had gained entry.
“Officers would like to trace a man described as in his 40s, with short brown or greying hair, wearing a cream-coloured waist-length jacket.
“If you have any information which could assist with our inquiries, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Also, information can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“Our reference CR/29674/17.”
