Man hurt in attack by group

Evening Telegraph (Late Extra Edition) - - PUZZLES -

A MAN was taken to hospital after an unprovoked street attack.

The incident happened at 7.40pm on Monday in Lochee Road, at the junction with DudhopeTerrace.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A 40-yearold man was assaulted by four other men in an apparently unprovoked attack. He suffered facial injuries and required hospital treatment.

“Officers would like to trace four men, all described as being between 16-20 years old, with two described as wearing a black jacket and jeans, and a grey zip-up hoodie and jeans respectively.

“We would also like to trace a specific potential witness, a motorist who was driving a black car and was seen to stop and speak to one of the persons responsible.

“This incident started on the pavement and spilled on to the road, stopping traffic. Even at that time of day, this is a busy road and junction, and it is hoped someone may have seen the incident and can provide us with more information.”
