Stars aiming to keep a winning momentum
DUNDEEStars will be aiming to make it three home wins on the trot when Cardiff Devils visit Dundee Ice Arena tonight (f/o 7.30pm).
Since their last defeat on home ice from Belfast Giants at the start of the month, the Tayside outfit have bounced back with vital league victories over Manchester Storm and the men from Ulster on Sunday to pick up valuable points.
However, last season’s league champions Cardiff will also be eager to collect full marks this evening, sitting just four points behind table-toppers Manchester Storm but with four games in hand over them.
Former Stars favourite Justin Faryna will line up against Omar Pacha’s injury-hit Dundee squad but Devils defenceman Craig Moore will not face his old club after picking up a lowerbody wound at the weekend.
Omar is confident his team can keep their winning momentum going against the Welshmen and said: “We are excited about the challenge of playing a strong Cardiff side that has done very well recently. We are playing shortbenched but we won our last two games at home and, hopefully, we can keep the momentum going tonight.”
