‘Belligerent’ yob sent to jail for rape threats
A “BELLIGERENT” thug who hurled abuse at police and threatened to rape and kill their families has been locked up.
Jailing Keiran Dorian, 22, for 10 months at Dundee Sheriff Court, Sheriff Alastair Carmichael said: “I have run out of patience with you and the only appropriate sentence is a custodial one.”
Fiscal depute Sue Ruta told the court that on December 16 last year, Dorian was seen running down the middle of the road on Marketgait by CCTV operators.
Ms Ruta said when police arrived, he became “belligerent” – refusing to engage with the officers.
She said: “He was shouting and swearing and saying things such as: “You white police ***** , gay ******** , why are you trying to kiss me?”
Police tried to arrest him and he said: “I’m going to rape and kill your children, I’m going to rape and kill your wife.”
In an earlier incident, on August 4 and 5, Dorian was seen on numerous occasions in Rewind nightclub on Seagate, despite being continually asked to leave by staff.
Police were called and he was placed in handcuffs, but attempted to bite a police officer on the arm.
On a third occasion, the fiscal said, Dorian was at Weavers Mill pub in Camperdown Leisure Park when he was seen to be heavily under the influence of alcohol.
He started swearing at a staff member, calling her names and when he was told police were on the way he said: “Why? Do the police want to **** you?”
Dorian then went to nearby Mcdonald’s and when police arrived he was seen at the restaurant talking to staff. Ms Ruta said: “He raised his fists at them aggressively, shouted and swore and wouldn’t desist.”
Dorian, of Hawthorn Grove, admitted, on December 16 at Marketgait, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, ran into the road, repeatedly uttered homophobic remarks to police officers and threatened violence towards their families.
He further admitted that on August 5, on Seagate, he assaulted PC Matthew Boath and attempted to bite him on the body, and on April 4, at Weavers Mill, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, acted aggressively, shouted and swore, made offensive and abusive remarks and refused to leave, and at Mcdonald’s behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, acted aggressively and shouted and swore.
