New school menu is served
DUNDEE City Council launched its new school meals menu with a promise to deliver healthier options to pupils during term time.
The 2017-18 menu will see fruit juice withdrawn and desserts limited to three days to reduce sugar content.
In a move to restrict the use of processed foods, 70% of the menu is prepared in-house.
Pupils all across Tayside were consulted during the menu design process and helped in trials.
