Life on Scotland’s hills

Evening Telegraph (Late Extra Edition) - - COURT REPORTS -

ANGUS author Alan Rowan will give an insight into his life on Scotland’s hills as part of the Angus Glens Walking Festival.

Alan, from Carnoustie, will deliver a talk in Kirriemuir’s Gateway to the Glens Museum tomorrow at 7pm.

A member of two local mountain clubs, Alan became known as the “Midnight Mountaineer” because much of his hillwalking took place after finishing work late at night.

“For 15 years, from 1994 to 2009, I regularly climbed Scotland’s mountains in the middle of the night, getting through the best part of two rounds of Munros and one round of Corbetts,” he said.

Booking is required and tickets are now available online at angusalive.scot.
