A CLIMBER injured when he fell from a mountain ridge was the fifth person helped by a rescue team this week.

The man fell 10 metres from Ptarmigan Ridge while scrambling on Lurcher’s Crag in the Cairngorms on Thursday.

Police Scotland was alerted at around 2pm and co-ordinated the response.

Seventeen members of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team responded when the alarm was raised.
