Shin­nie says Euro win­ner was magic

ABERDEEN cap­tain Graeme Shin­nie la­belled his win­ning goal against Apol­lon Li­mas­sol on Thurs­day night as one of the best mo­ments of his ca­reer and backed the Dons to com­plete the job in Cyprus next week.

Shin­nie’s long-range strike put Derek McInnes’ side back in front at Pit­to­drie af­ter on-loan Celt Ryan Christie’s early goal had been can­celled out mid­way through the sec­ond half of the team’s Europa League third qual­i­fy­ing round first leg.

Aberdeen have fallen at this hur­dle in the last three sea­sons but home­town hero Shin­nie be­lieves they are in great shape to make the play-off round this time.
