Kilday under the knife with ankle injury
MORTON captain Lee Kilday has undergone a second operation in a bid to shake off a long-standing ankle injury.
The 25-year-old has not played this season because of the problem, which caused him to go under the surgeon’s knife in the summer.
The defender had begun running again and was closing in on a return to action for the club’s under-20s when he suffered a frustrating setback last month.
And the former Hamilton Accies player is now hopeful his latest surgery will prove the solution.
He said on social media: “Operation done, [will] be back doing what I love doing in no time. Road to recovery starts now.”
