Stevie-G hails Rob
LIVERPOOL legend Steven Gerrard insists Scotland internationalist Andy Robertson has already established him as a fans’ favourite at Anfield.
After making only three appearances in the opening 22 games of the season in the wake of his £10million switch from Hull City, Robertson has not looked back since replacing Alberto Moreno in December.
The former Dundee United and Queen’s Park player has now racked up a total of 21 starts for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and will bid to add to his 20 international caps in the friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary.
Gerrard, a Liverpool academy coach, insists the supporters appreciate Robertson’s fullblooded style. He said: “He’s done terrifically well since he’s come in and the fans have really taken to him.
“The fans love someone who gives 100 per cent, who comes in, who is a very humble kid and gives 110 per cent.”
