Trib­utes to part­ner who died in crash

A MAN who died in a crash was on the verge of adopt­ing with his part­ner.

The fam­ily of Jamie Lind­say, 41, paid trib­ute to him af­ter he died fol­low­ing a near head on col­li­sion on the A7­close to Carlisle on Tues­day.

Jamie, from Kil­learn in the Camp­sie Fells, was also look­ing to start his own air­line.

In a trib­ute, Jamie’s fam­ily said: “There was never a dull mo­ment in Jamie’s com­pany.

“He read civil engi­neer­ing in Glas­gow and worked for sev­eral ma­jor com­pa­nies be­fore set­ting up his own.

“He later founded a lo­gis­tics com­pany. At the time of his death he was in the process of set­ting up an air­line.

“Mike and Jamie were in the process of adopt­ing two young boys when he passed away. He will be sadly missed by his hus­band, fam­ily and friends. Mike and Jamie had a very happy re­la­tion­ship that lasted al­most 15 years.”
