Help­ing hand for hospice with £30,000 do­na­tion

A LA­NARK­SHIRE hospice has re­ceived a £30,000 to help care for peo­ple with cancer.

St Andrew’s Hospice, in Air­drie, pro­vides pal­lia­tive care to peo­ple with cancer and other life lim­it­ing ill­nesses across La­nark­shire, giv­ing vi­tal sup­port to pa­tients and fam­i­lies. The do­na­tion from the Asda Foun­da­tion through their Hamil­ton store will fund the kit out of a multi-oc­cu­pancy room with en-suite fa­cil­i­ties.

The re­con­fig­ured hospice now has 21 sin­gle rooms and three multi-oc­cu­pancy rooms and many fea­tures to en­sure pa­tients con­tinue to re­ceive qual­ity care.
